I just looked at the bookcase in my bedroom and thought “man, one day, after I’m gone, all of these books will belong to someone else and live on their shelves.”
I’ve thought about that with my Dante collection, considering it’s probably 20+ books/$1000 worth of Dante glory and still growing. Who possibly deserves that when I’m dead and gone?

Gozu is a guardian of the underworld along with Mezu. He has the head of an ox and the two are the first people a soul meets upon arriving in the underworld. In many stories, they directly escort the newly dead to the underworld.

The witch is Urnova, who falls in love with “The Wanderer”, who is searching for his long lost love, Beatrice.
If this isn’t directly influenced by Dante or isn’t the story of my life, I don’t know what is.
